Corrections Medical Emergency Tactics

Correctional medical emergencies are occurring more and more frequently. Violence is increasing for officers and inmates. It the corrections officer’s responsibility to render aid when feasible.

This course will give you the skills and concepts that are needed to keep your team safe as well as the inmates in your care.

This course is fun and contains some physical activity. Equipment list includes: Safety glasses and note taking supplies.

We will be using simulated medical emergencies and training medical supplies to keep the course relevant and applicable.

This course will use a variety of training tools.

Incudes:

  • Tourniquet application

  • Direct pressure concepts

  • Chest seal application

  • Would packing

  • Overdose response

***NO LIVE WEAPONS ALLOWED***
